Our FullStack Dev was at the JavaScript Days and reports on a broad spectrum of workshops ranging from the basics to highly complex topics. One of the most heated debates revolved around the question of whether we still need frameworks at all. The answer that the native browser can already do a lot with HTML/CSS/JS - often even better - got some lecturers thinking. Performance and accessibility were also important topics. The deep dive into the topic of "server-side rendering", which is already used extensively at empiriecom, was particularly exciting. Our developer's personal highlight? The surprise at what the browser can do without frameworks and additional effort. This insight will be valuable for his daily business.

Recently, our coaches Melli and Marcel led a 2-day workshop for the "Anlagentechnik Shuttle" team in Bad Staffelstein/Schwabthal. This team was formed for the launch of a pioneering shuttle warehouse in Altenkunstadt, which will revolutionize the logistics of the BAUR Group, especially for About You. The aim was to encourage open communication and collaboration between team members to ensure a smooth start to the project. An atmosphere of courage and transparency was created through discussions about goals, agenda and potential challenges. The online store Baur is currently testing the Gen AI integrated search developed by us. As one of the first in German-speaking countries, it is something very special. This year's code.talks were all about artificial intelligence (AI). Numerous captivating presentations offered interesting insights into this topic. Particularly noteworthy were the findings from the "Architecture" and "Cloud & Infrastructure" tracks, which confirmed our cloud architecture of the empiriecom commerce suite. This shows that we are on the right track technologically. Another highlight was a presentation in the "Tech Leadership" track, which supported our decision to introduce lead developers. The topic of specialist careers was also discussed. The code.talks once again provided valuable impetus, but also showed that we are on top of the trends with our tech stack and are at the forefront of technology.
